In National Three South West Barnstaple will join Exmouth in National Two South following a one point 30-31 win away at London and South East side Tonbridge Juddian. However in the battle to see who was going to be relegated alongside Old Patesians and Chippenham, Newton Abbot with a 36-15 win at home to Old Centralians pulled clear and it is 'Cents' who will now go down. In the only other game played Ivybridge beat Dings Crusaders 22-13 at Filham. In National Three South West the clash between Newton Abbot and Old Centralians is going to be a do or die encounter with the losing side dropping out of the league along with Chippenham and Old Patesians. Home advantage should give Newton Abbot the slight edge but all too often these 'cup tie' games are difficult to predict. In National Three South West it's now 'cut and dried'  following Exmouth's 38-24 win over Barnstaple in the top of the table clash at The Imperial Recreation Ground. Exmouth will now move up to National Two South with Barnstaple having to play off this coming Saturday away to Tonbridge Juddian, second in London and South East, who get the home tie on games won. In National Three South West with the regular season due to finish this weekend leaving just two catch up matches for the following week. It is going to be winner takes all as the two top clubs Exmouth and Barnstaple clash at the Imperial Recreation Ground. Both sides are on 98 points both have won 20 games with 'Ex' just edging it on points difference. In National Three South West it's still neck and neck at the top of the table with both Exmouth and Barnstaple taking the bonus point from their games over the weekend. Top of the table were Exmouth were 36-17 winners at home to Old Redcliffians whilst Barnstaple in second certainly made their intentions known following an 88-7 trouncing of Old Patesians at Pottington Road. In National Three South West Exmouth and Barnstaple with two just matches remaining will certainly finish first and second though with both on 93 points there is still all to play for as to which club finishes top and grabs the automatic promotion spot with the second place forced in to a play-off with second in London and South East which at the moment could be either Tonbridge Juddian or East Grinstead, venue unlikely to be finalised until after last game. In National Three South West there is no change at the top of the table with both league leaders Exmouth and second place Barnstaple both recording bonus point wins. Exmouth ran riot at Everest Road where Old Patesians were on the end of a 13-64 blitz. Barnstaple were not quite as successful but still managed the five points 9-28 away at Old Centralians. in the battle between fourth and fifth at 'The Nest' Brixham move into fourth defeating Hornets 34-39 in a very close encounter. In National Three South West there has been no change at the top of the table after last week's round of matches with league leaders Exmouth on the same points as second in the table Barnstaple just edging it on points difference. This week should again see no change as Exmouth can be expected to take maximum points away to next to the bottom Old Patesians as should Barnstaple away to Old Centralians.
